Day 2 1/2 and 3 .

Hey there again, soooo last night i was having some trouble breathing and what not, heartburn and god knows that else. My blood pressure was 140's/ 80's  but was down in the morning ( Friday morning) . I finished my second 24 hour urine collection and should get the results back in a little while (day 3, today, friday lol ) Also, got my blood drawn to to go with those results. O and yesterday (day 2) they gave me the second shot of the stuff to mature the girls lungs some more. It hurt, but what is a girl supposed to do! Anyways, its friday now and i've only been here for half a week and i miss my turbo and batman and yoshi and petri already! Also, i really need to be wheeled outside for a little while today and get some fresh air! On the upside, i didnt have to watch Jersey Shore on mtv.com a day later than it showed like i always do b/c we dont have cable at home. I got to watch it AS it aired. And Greys Anatomy too, WHAT WHAT lol Other than that.. today i'm basically just waiting for results from my 24 hour collection. If the protein levels have risen higher than last time then i guess the doc will say if the girls are coming out early or whats gonna happen. Ill write more later if i get any info.

::::THE HOSPITAL:::

Day one: So, this day wasn't supposed to end up with my being admitted to the hospital but it did! I woke up at 830, went to Sage Brush ( My docs office) to turn in my 24 hour urine collection so they could test it. Also, i had to get my blood drawn to go along with those results and let the nurse practicioner look at my swelling and see if it went down after 2 days of bedrest. She apparently didn't like my swelling in my feet, and my headache so she sent me up to Labor and Delivery at another part of the hospital. They decided to go ahead and test my 24 hour collection and take more blood. After i got back the results for the urine.. (normal is 100=300... mine was 1740.) So they decided to keep me here! I also got a shot in my butt to help the girls lungs mature just in case my blood pressure or protein count in the pee got higher they would be good to take the girls out. Other than that, im just gonna be staying in the hospital untill the girls come in 3 weeks most likely. It's been pretty boring lately, just been watching tv and laying in bed. Eric brought me all the goodies i asked for from home so i feel comfy here and he even brought me some pictures to put on the wall. sWeeeeta boy! :) I'm loosing all the swelling in my feet and hands so far. Its weird how skinny my fingers look to me now that swelling went down.

Day 2::::   So, day one out of the way... day two started at 4 am when the nurse woke me up to take my statistics and make me pee in a cup and also start another 24 hour urine collection. Fun  Fun, i went to bed at about 130 am and woke up at 4.. i actually slept really good! And i even went to bed again after the nurse left. A few hours later i got my breakfast brought up from the cafeteria ( oatmeal, pancakes, sausage, juice) it wasn't too bad. Ate all that, and just been watching tv. the nurse came in about 10 am and put all the monitors back on me to track the babies heart rates and also how many contractions i have. Each time they put the monitors on it takes a real long time to get both babies heartrates to show up on the machines so, the nurse was in here for a while trying to get them on the radar and i watched some more tv. Eric showed up with some more goodies for me and we watched some tv together too. Hes takin a nap now cuz he didnt sleep good last night poor boy :( . As of now, im watching Maury , hes takin a nap.. and i'm waiting to get my other butt shot for the girls lungs to mature and after that im supposed to go get another sonogram to see what the girls are doing.

Signing off stats: Blood pressure is back to normal, no headaches today, I do have a toothache though!!
Girls heart rates are doing fine, swelling is down, and we'll have to wait untill tomorrow when im done with the 24 hour urine test to be done to see what the proteins are now and i guess they will decide if the girls need to come out sooner or later. Ill keep u posted!!!

26 weeks and counting down.

At long last, your little swimmer can see the womb! Your miracle’s little eyelids have finally separated (they were fused closed previously) and they’re probably having their first moments of sight as you read this (or maybe it already happened while you were brushing your teeth or watching Oprah or something). In addition to seeing their little studio in your belly, they’ve recently acquired the ability to say “yes” and “no” in rudimentary sign language as they can now move their head back and forth. This is also the time where your little super star’s head hair is starting to grow! A cute little cowlick or two may be springing into position right now, getting ready for years of cute-but-stubborn bed-head. Also, their toenails have grown in and you little raisin continues to slowly pile up fat beneath their still-loose skin. Most importantly, brain tissue and neurons are all developing at a rapid pace, increasing their (genius-level?) brain activity and will continue to function at accelerated levels for the first seven to eight years of childhood!

week 24.. week 22,23 i forgot to do!

Well, the girls are kicking and moving up a storm, i'm getting really big and uncomfortable and my feet are a size they have never been and so is my ass lol. Aw the joys of pregnancy. i cant wait till it's over and i can sleep on my stomach again!!! YAYYY ill post pics of the 3d sonograms when i get them on saturday!

By 24 weeks your twins are proportioned like newborns but thinner - their "baby" fat hasn't yet developed. Although they're getting heavier every day, their skin still appears wrinkled because they need to gain more weight. Their lips are distinct and their eyes are formed, though the iris (the coloured part of the eye) still lacks pigment. The pancreas and the thyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands, essential in the production of hormones, are developing steadily. Tiny eyebrows and eyelids are now visible.

Even this early, the first signs of teeth appear in the form of tooth buds beneath the gum line. Before you know it, your twins will be born, and soon after, their first teeth will come through.

Your twins' lungs continue to develop and mature to prepare for breathing. They're swallowing but they normally don't pass their first stool (called meconium) until after birth. Your babies are making breathing movements. They have no air in their lungs yet but it's essential practice for when they are born.

More than half of twins are born before term (before 37 weeks). If your babies were to be born before 24 weeks, they would only have a small chance of survival (less than 10 per cent) even with the right care. Every day in the uterus makes a difference at this stage. Their chance of survival rises rapidly after 26 weeks, and from 32 weeks they should survive if they are growing normally.

20W 3D doctor appt.

(Pic of Madilyn.. babyA)(It's a picture of her face)
Hey there, WHOEVER reads this lol... went to the doctor today for my 20 week appt... it wasn't the regular 20 week appt though because im going to the specialist next week on July 1st. Soooo, this appt was short and sweet , we just looked at the girls , their heartbeats and took a few pics. The doc said all was good with the girls and he would see me in 3 weeks this time since im goin to the other doc next week. Also, i gained 3 lbs since last appt 2 weeks ago! It definately went to my stomach again because i got my first stretch marks on my belly (Cries). it's not that bad now.. i'm sad just thinking about how bad it will probably get towards the end!! Or in the next few weeks even!! Oh well, this is what i get for making babies and thinking i was only gonna get one! lol Well, i'm excited for my specialist appt next week because we get to have a long sonogram with lots of measurements and all that and we will also see how much they weigh again. I'm guessing they will be weighing a pound each by then! Well, i took a video of this weeks sonogram, not sure if i can upload videos here, but i'll try!

Untill next time: Hopefully i'll have a lot of news next week after the specialist appt! :)

6.21.2010

20 weeks preggo! Half way there, well.. more than half way since they are comin early

At 20 weeks hair on the scalp is sprouting and sensory development evolves rapidly. The nerve cells serving each of the senses - taste, smell, hearing, seeing, and touch - are now developing in their specialised areas of the brain. Nerve cell production slows down as existing nerve cells grow larger and make more complex connections. The smell of a newborn seems to be the most developed of all senses, enabling them to recognize you immediately.

You no doubt feel the kicking and somersaulting of your growing twins. At times, they may be so mobile that they will wake you up during the night. The next ten weeks or so will be your twins' busiest and most active time, until the uterus gets too crowded.

A whitish coat of a slick, fatty substance called vernix caseosa will begin to cover your twins. It protects their skin during its long immersion in amniotic fluid and acts as a barrier against infection after birth. Your twins are swallowing an increasing amount of amniotic fluid, good practice for their digestive systems.

Until now your fetuses have been measured from crown to rump but from 20 weeks the measurement will be from crown to heel. And from crown to heel they are approximately 10.5 inches/ 27 centimetres long. Their eyebrows and eyelids are fully developed and fingernails cover the fingertips.

Your babies can now hear your conversations. If you talk, read, or sing to your twins, sound waves are transmitted along your spine to make them progressively familiar to your voice, helping them to recognise you after they are born.
Your twins can hear other sounds through the skin covering your belly, but they are distorted as they pass through your fat and muscle, the wall of your uterus and amniotic fluid. Only your voice will be clearly recognisable to them by the end of your pregnancy.

Most mums-to-be detect their twins movements (called quickening) between 18 and 22 weeks of pregnancy. If you've been pregnant before, you'll feel things earlier rather than later. What you may first think is a rumbling stomach may be your twins doing some back flips.

6.12.2010

19 weeks preggo with twins

This is a period of tremendous growth for your babies. they are also growing muscle and are getting stronger every day. As your babies becomes stronger, they will move about more energetically, particularly when you are trying to get some sleep! Their teeth are already beginning to form within their jawbones. They may have some hair on their heads, including eyebrows and eyelashes. Your babies fingernails have grown to the tips of the fingers and they can clench their fists.

The internal organs are maturing. Fat is now being stored beneath their skin. The blood cells take over for the liver the job of producing blood. The gall bladder will become functional, producing bile that is necessary for digestion.
Your babies sleep and wake at regular intervals. You will find that your girls are much more active now. They turn from side to side and head over heels. They may suck their thumbs. Exploring the structures inside your uterus may become their prime entertainment.

Babies are measured from the crown (or top) of the head to the rump (or bottom) until about 20 weeks. After that, they are measured from head to heel. They are now about 7 inches (17 cm) Crown to Rump, about 10 inches (25 cm) from head to heel each.

Babies weighs roughly 11 ounces each(about 300 grams).

Mother

You are getting bigger every day, and during the fifth month you should start to feel your baby's movements, which begin as light, fluttery sensations. Your skin might darken and stretch marks may appear on your abdomen or breasts. Your breasts may begin to produce colostrum. Your gums might bleed and you may have a congested nose.

well, i already feel the girls moving since there are two of them! and i definately already look pregnant! :) Only a few stretch marks, but for the most part all of the weight has gone STRAIGHT to the belly area!  They are poking and proding me more everyday and they cant wait till their daddy gets here in two weeks to talk to them!!!! Also, they are very ready to make me miserable while camping in a few weeks! i hope my swimsuit still fits by then!!! YIKES.. ILY baby girls!

6.08.2010

doctor appointments:

Well, Monday i finally got to go to my new primary care doc . I got a referral to go to the new place on wednesday . Hopefully i'll get to peek in at the girls again! That's it for now.. i did write ALOT but i accidently deleted it so now i dont feel like writing anymore. see ya later!

6.05.2010

18 weeks pregnant with the girls!

The girls are kicking up a storm today!!!
YAY 18 weeks! im 5 months preggo!

We have two more ounces! Your "getting bigger-n-better by the minute baby" is already up to 7 ounces and 6 inches! This is a big week for their baby skin. There are now two distinct layers—the epidermis (or the surface skin) and dermis. Currently, their skin is covered with a greasy, waxy, cheese-like substance, known as vernix caseosa. Sure, it sounds pretty nasty, but this mixture of fatty secretions covering your little swimmer from head to toe is the best way to protect their oh-so-thin skin from bruising and abrasions as well as chapping caused by amniotic fluid exposure (and your little one is swimming in that stuff!). Still don’t like the fact your little darling is currently slathered in fatty cream like a greased pig? Well, you know the birthing process? Where you have to push something the size of a watermelon out a hole the size of a grape? That adorable little greased piglet would have a lot harder time getting through the birth canal without the vernix caseosa. Fun fact for momma’s with baby girls: it’s a uterus within a uterus! Your little girl will have developed a uterus and vagina canal by the end of this week.

6.01.2010

WEEK 17-These babies are gettin heavy.

fetus in fourth month: Don't be too shocked but... your baby is EVEN bigger than it was last week, not to mention getting cuter, and smarter every day! As you’ve come to expect, there’s no shortage of growth and development this week: your fantastic little bean stalk has added yet another half inch to their overall height-- making them nearly half a foot long! Their little limbs have reached (or are within one week of) their relative proportions, and will continue to grow evenly with the rest of the body after this week. Reactive listening has begun for your baby, even though their ears are not yet structurally complete or fully functional. Meanwhile, different parts of their astonishingly complex brain are developing to process your little one’s hearing and other senses, (you know, sight, smell, taste and touch). Mind boggling factoid of the week: if you’re having going to have a little girl, her ovaries have already produced millions of primordial egg cells, which, within a few weeks, will develop into actual eggs! Phew… just wait till she’s a teenager eh?

the babies are kickin alot today!! they are gettin heavy !!

5.23.2010

16 WEEKS: What's goin on with the girls! A belly pic, and a twin graphic.

By 16 weeks, your twins will grow to 6 inches/ 14.2 centimetres long from crown to rump. They now weigh about 7 ounces/ 190 grams each. Your twins' unique fingerprints are already in place. And when you poke your stomach gently and they feel it, your twins will start rooting and sucking whatever is in front of their mouths, whether it is a hand, foot or an umbilical cord. This sucking reflex will give them the training they need for breastfeeding after birth.
If one or both of your twins are girls, they will now have approximately 2 million eggs in their ovaries; and they will have only a million by the time they're born. They will have fewer eggs as they get older, and by age 17, the number will have dropped to 200,000.

The fetuses' bodies are now growing faster than their heads. Your twins' parchment-thin skin covers itself with thick, downy hair called lanugo. Though eyebrows are beginning to grow and the hair on top of the head is sprouting, this hair may change in both texture and colour after birth.

Their legs are growing longer than the arms now, fingernails are fully formed and all the joints and limbs can move. You may be able to find out the sex of your babies by ultrasound now, since the external genitals may be developed enough that a sonographer can tell you if your twins are boys or girls.

At 16 weeks your twins' skeletons are mostly rubbery cartilage, which will harden later. A protective substance called myelin slowly begins to wrap around the spinal cord.
Their chests move up and down to mimic breathing but they're not taking in air, only amniotic fluid. They also start to have hiccups. Hiccups are an essential reflex used to train their diaphragms, the muscles they need for breathing when they are born.

We found out we're having...

Twin Girls!

To our surprise. lol Here are some pics from the ultrasound :

5.19.2010

BOY OR GIRL??? We find out today!

Our appt is at 2 today and we are going to one of the specialty 3d/4d  ultrasound places to find out. We are just doing the cheapest 2d ultrasound with a few pics and gender determination. YAY screw waiting for my doctors appt to find out the sex! We're taking it into our own hands! lol Stay posted.. even though no one even reads this thing ever!

5.16.2010

Week 15- Whats goin on with baby/ a belly pic/ shopping for a swimsuit!

At week fifteen the baby will measure in approximately 4” long and about 1-.3/4 ounces. The baby will develop what is called Lanugo, this happens when the red and wrinkles head becomes covered with fine hairs. Like each pregnancy is different, each baby develops differently in the uterus. The hair will help the baby maintain a constant body temperature. But the Lanugo will disappear when the baby is born.
By now the baby can swallow food and one of the best parts is that the baby can hear you and hear sounds. So now would be a great time to start talking to the baby. Some new moms will place headphones on their belly so the baby can hear music. Some new moms at this stage may or may not be able to feel their babies move around but the baby’s are more active in the womb now.
The baby’s legs are longer than the arms but now the body is longer than the head. The taste buds are developing and the fingernails and toenails are growing as well. The three bones in the middle ear are harder making improvements in the hearing. The amniotic fluid that surrounds the baby also carries an external sounds that travel to the baby. They can hear prominent sounds like the mother’s heartbeat, stomach and even her voice.

15 weeks!

-----------------------------------------------------
Shopping for a swimsuit:
Sucked . You would think in Hawaii, since there are a lot of bigger women here that they would make swimsuits that aren't made for stick figures! I was getting more sad as the shopping progressed. I couldn't fit anything! Nothing looked right.. and I was having to look at one piece suits with skirts on the bottom lol.. UGH. We were litterally there for like 2 hours trying to find a swimsuit so we could go to the waterpark the next day.. Needless to say, we gave up and aren't going anyways lol.  We can't afford a 40 dollar swimsuit and than 42 bucks to go swimming for a few hours when we still have SO much to do before i leave! It's so stressful! I wish we could just magically get everything done. But, like the swimsuit.. nothing is going right!
O well. Soon it will be friday and i'll go to the doctor for my 16 week appt and we'll hear the tiny's heartbeat again and make sure he/she is doin good.

5.09.2010

Mother's Day and also the real 14 week fetal birthday of my love

So i remember when i was first pregnant how i didn't really have that many symptoms, just wanting to eat chicken wings and my sisters were hurtin' lol . But now.. UGH! i can't even sleep in a comfortable position because it feels like my insides are getting pulled apart. When i bend over after eating my food alomst comes back out, i'm getting small stretch marks here and there and i can not stand waking up 2-3 times per night to go pee, it's so tiring! Plus, my stomach is hurting all the time because my uterus is growing and stretching and all that stuff .. it realy sucks! GRrrrr!!! But anyways, it's mothers day, and i just got my very first mothers day card :) My hubby is so sweet . AND it's says, to my wife on mothers day :) Aww . Also, it's the baby's 14 week fetal birthday today! Happy weekly bday baby! Thanks for all the discomfort you have been causing me over the last weeks but i love you anyways! well, it's time for me to eat a pop tart and relax.. it's my nephews birthday today also, so we are gonna make some brownies! Or it could just be an excuse to eat brownies :-D hee hee

5.07.2010

Week 14!!! HOORAY!

I'm posting this 2 days early for week 14: but hey, it's only 2 more days till i'm 14 weeks!!! yay
<-- the baby looks like THIS now! WOW
fetus in fourth month Isn’t it glorious? You and your little buckaroo have roped your way right into trimester numero dos! Are you ready to rock!? Okay, okay… maybe just a little rolling and poking. Needless to say, your baby will definitely be making themselves known in the upcoming weeks. At about 3.5 inches long, their little body and limber limbs are coordinated enough for loads of complicated motions. In fact, their whole body is moving right now! You're not feeling it because their current size is still a bit too small to make an impact you'd recognize. Still, their movements are recognizable on an ultrasound. Speaking of which, you shoud be scheduling one with your health care provider! Week 16 is the classic date as you can usually determine whether your little one is going to pee standing up or sitting down. Your baby is also starting to develop the ability to move their eyes this week, although the eyelids still remain fused shut. What's more, they can make all sorts of fun facial expressions as they practice squinting, frowning, and grimacing. Cute development of the week: their little hands can grasp at things and they may already be sucking their thumb!

Week 13 - baby is growin!

fetus in third month This is your final week in the first trimester and your little weed continues to grow and grow and grow. Of the three trimesters, this one has been the most important for your little one’s development. Assuming you’ve carefully adopted a healthy diet, continue to exercise and get ample rest, your little one is set up perfectly for even more growth and development in tri-two! Way to go! He or she now weighs about 2.5 ounces and is roughly 3.5 inches in length. Little hairs, known as lanugo, will start to cover their body this week, as their sense of taste and smell are further refined. Their cozy little amniotic sac is also increasing in size and mass as it continues to fill with more fluid.

-- ok, sooo my maternity pants need to be retired ! i can't sit in these things anymore!... sleeping sucks! I can barely lay on my side.. my back is where it's at for now! and i cant even think about  laying on my belly! everything is SO stretchy.

5.03.2010

13 weeks pregnant! Sleeping is starting to hurt . Ugh !

4.28.2010

The Bump

so, i cant even suck it in, AT ALL... this is "The Bump".

So, everything is good, i'm not hormonally crazy.. throwing up.. nothing!... This is a really good pregnancy i think! I'm pretty lucky to not be sick, i hope i continue to have such good luck throughout. Well anyways, so much to do this next month ( May) i'll be packin up stuff to take to storage, getting that stuff shipped to Texas, Give the animals their shots and send them on the plane to texas.. My next doctor appt for the baby is May 21st ( heartbeat, blood pressure, size of uterus, etc) . can't wait till 4 more weeks after THAT appt! i get to go for my 20 week appt to see what the sex of the baby is, BUT the bad thing is i have to postpone that appt untill Eric gets to Texas because i will already be there and he wont! O well, a little waiting wont kill me. Ugh, SO MUCH TO DO! i'm exhausted thinkin about it. I cant wait till we are in Texas, in our apartment, with our furbabies and shortly after our family becomes complete with our baby! YAY YAY  well, untill next Sunday at the 13 week post ! See ya later

4.26.2010

WEEK 12 WHATS UP WITH BABY AND ME

Even though your little Einstein’s body is still growing quite rapidly 2 inches long right now, the overall super-speedy growth of their amazing brain continues to leave the head proportionately larger than the body— and is actually slightly more than one third of their total body mass! The head and neck are still straightening at this point as can be seen by their little chin lifting off of the chest. Your baby is also actively rehearsing “breathing” by using amniotic fluid to prepare the lungs for future air respiration.
The big news: your little pooper is now officially going to need diapers! Although a majority of the waste produced is transferred to the mother’s system for discharge (to avoid having it linger in the amniotic sac), some urine is released to the amniotic fluid and your baby will actually breathe it in before it passing it on to your for discharge. Not to worry, urine--in this particular form, is completely harmless to your baby.

And for me, i'm doin good.. not really any sickness, just gag when there is a foul smell.. also the babys heart beat is 168!! I went to the doc last friday and they said it seems like a nice strong fast heartbeat :) My next appt is May 21st for my 16 week appt!! YAY.. Also, i got one of those fetal doppler things and i can actually hear the baby's heartbeat with it at home ! pretty cool i think! Well, Eric had his surgery today so it looks like im gonna be doin the mommy thing a little sooner for my big baby :) lol he's so cute when hes on drugs. haha.. untill next time.

4.21.2010

11 WEEKS PREGGO- Whats up with the baby

THE SIZE OF A LARGE PLUM PEOPLE!!!
Maybe you’ve noticed… your baby is a super-duper grower! Your lil' fetus will be gaining a substantial amount of weight this week and has already achieved fruit-size-status comparable to a plum. What's more, your little scientist is already starting to explore their body, focusing most intently on touching their head, and especially their face and mouth. Their mouth in particular will provide them with hours of entertainment. This happens not only because your baby is gaining coordination, and is therefore able to move a hand on command, but also because their palms have gained sensation and can actually “feel” what it touches. They're also developing their swallow reflex this week. And lastly, your baby's smelling and other olfactory senses will begin developing this week, which when combined with the maturing taste buds, will provide your baby with their first experiences of taste and smell.

4.15.2010

Almost 11 weeks. Wow time flies! Get to hear the heart beat next week !

4.10.2010

WEEK 10, what's goin on with baby?

fetus in third month -Your astonishingly tiny baby has been hard at work growing as fast as possible—almost doubling in size in the past three weeks! Amazingly, you’re in for a repeat size doubling performance within the next three weeks! Your tiny champion still weighs less than a quarter of an ounce but has already completed the most critical stage of their development. Using Doppler technology, your doctor or gynecologist can let you hear their tiny rapid fetal heartbeats this week (145-165 beats per minute!). Chances for miscarriage are greatly reduced when the heartbeat can be detected, so take a sigh of relief if you’ve been needing one—it hasn’t been an easy ten weeks! What’s more, they’re getting ready to make their first baby poop! Your little one’s major organ systems are developing, including a functioning digestive tract capable of moving food all the way through their bowels. The final shiny gold star on their fetal behavior chart for the week: your little scrapper has already developed defense mechanisms to protect them on reflex!

4.04.2010

WEEK 9 : An Inch to grow on. Oh, and now the baby is officially a FETUS!

THE BABY LOOKS LIKE A BABY FINALLY!

Your amazing growing baby has been accepted into to the fetus-club, a very exclusive and exiting new stage in their prenatal development. Basically, this means the little sweet pea has graduated from swimming embryo creature to a recognizable human being! This week in particular, the irises of their little eyes can function, but (frustratingly for them?) their eyelids remain fused shut for a while yet. Their external ears are formed and their inner ears are now filled with fluid—so your little one is already developing their sense of balance. Your baby's little swimmer legs are still relatively small, although other bodily developments are going forward at a nice pace: their kidney is actually functioning now, which means they’ve started urinating (this might seem charming now but wait till you have to start buying diapers!).

3.28.2010

Goodbye sea creature , hello baby! it's WEEK 8 !

Fetal development in pregnancy week 8: embryo in second month Woohoo! You've got one whole inch of baby inside of you! Your little embryo has finally reached the one-inch mark (30mm). And if it were possible to take a peek, you could actually see your tiny baby without a telescope! What’s more, your baby is finally starting to take on some very distinct human features. For starters, their little tail (really just the spinal cord) has disappeared completely. It’s nice to know your baby can no longer be mistaken for a sea creature! Additionally, both their toes and fingers are prominent with very little, if any, webbing. Upper and lower limbs all show recognizable joints (elbows and knees) and the lower limb bones are starting to ossify. But don’t expect your baby to resemble either parent quite yet. Right now, your baby’s head is disproportionately larger than the rest of their body--making up almost half of your little one’s height and weight!

And how's mom doing? Your slightly-larger-than-a-cherry embryo is also starting to have a physical impact on you this week—and not just hormonally, as you may be noticing a slight bulge at your midline-- mostly from water retention. Most people won't even notice the subtle change to your belly's shape, but since you’re if you have been extra moody lately, that may start to subside this week, as the placenta is beginning to take responsibility for your baby’s hormone production tuned in to every little change in your body, it hasn’t slipped past. Good news for the hormonally tortured: if you have been extra moody lately, that may start to subside this week, as the placenta is beginning to take responsibility for your baby’s hormone production. This means your body will soon be able to relax a bit from its over-production of hormones as the placenta starts to regulate your baby’s hormones-- allowing your body to focus on producing more normal levels of hormones for yourself

April 23rd is my appt to hear the heartbeat CANT WAIT!!!.. Wish i could get a damn sonogram already! NOT FAIR!!!.

Symptoms lately: None, just gagging at smells more than normal.. AND craving salad!

WEEK 6 WHATS GOIN ON WITH BABY!?

Embryo in second month This is going to be a busy week for your amazing little embryo. Their brain is still growing remarkably fast; miniature hand plates are starting to develop and the early formations of what will be their fingers are already visible. Also, the lower limbs do not develop quite as fast, so they’re pretty much still flippers. Up until this point, your baby has been very curled up with the head and tail in close proximity, but this week their trunk and neck are beginning to grow and straighten as their tail recedes into its resting position in the back. Even though your little miracle is only 6 weeks old, they’re already capable of demonstrating reflex responses to touch!

5 Weeks 4 days Preggo

Nothing too exciting going on lately... can't sleep on my stomach b/c my boobs hurt so bad... having to pee all the time! (So tired of sleeping wonderfully, but having to get up and pee every hour) tired. tired. tired. Not much to do but be bored around here... I should be packing stuff because we are moving, but that seems like SO much more work than just sitting here like a bump on a log. Well at least my sister is coming to visit again and i will have something to do when they get here. Plus, my doctors appointment is coming up on the 19th, so that's good. Ok nap time for me .... untill next time!
o yeah .. this is the crib i'm thinkin about! I really like it!!!! What do you think?

WEEK 5 What's happenin with Baby?

The changes to your growing embryo are not quite as drastic this week as they've been in the last few weeks. Growth is now largely focused on their little head, which is starting to develop much more rapidly than the rest of their tiny body. This is because their amazing brain is undergoing some very crucial and rapid development in order to effectively regulate their heart rate, blood circulation, and other vital functions. As for the rest of their miniature body, what were simple limb buds last week are limb flippers this week and the tail is more expressed. Amazingly, within a mere five weeks your little miracle is already developing the rudimentary forms of their liver, pancreas, lungs, stomach and nasal pits while their little heart is already increasing its circulation. Your baby is now a whopping 4-6mm in length.

Is it sonogram time yet? FOR GOD SAKE!

Yup, i'm already tired of waiting. I hate waiting, this is gonna take a while. I can't even do any recreational drinking at bars while i wait.. so what am i supposed to do? Go to the movies all the time.. hang out at home.. ugh. I guess i can still go to a bar and eat bar food yummmmm. Plus, all the bars, restaurants , any place.. you can not smoke in the buildings here. I still want chicken wings! I really really want Wing Stop.. that would be THE greatest right about now.. maybe i will come to Texas sooner than i thought... maybe this month? or the beginning of April maybe! That way i can go to Lindsey ( my BFF) son's 1st birthday party And i can get Wing Stop. Delicious. Man, i'm hungry. O did i mention i'm already tired or constipation and bloating??? SO not fun. Well, i'm gonna go sort though the kitchen and find something to eat so i can take my prenatal pills. Untill next time followers!

Week 4 :What's happenin' to baby?

Pregnancy week 4:embryo in first month By the end of this week the round and pointy ends of your little pear-shaped baby will be slightly more exaggerated and their body will look more like that of a miniature manatee. Despite your baby not looking particularly human without any eyes, ears or mouth, the earliest developments of what will become the larynx, internal ear, and eye lens are already forming, although you’d have to be a trained expert to recognize them for what they’re going to be in the future. Likewise, tiny bumps are forming on your little embryo which will eventually be their cute little arms, elbows, fingers, legs, knees and toes. What’s more your little swimmer will have a teeny tiny tail by the end of this week-- but don’t worry, it’s just the end of their developing spinal cord! A microscopic photo would reveal what seems to be their vertebrae filling out the spine and tail. Although they aren’t bones yet, but rather, the “bone seeds” that will give rise to your baby's tiny vertebrae, ribs and sternum.

Cravings are my friend, not my husbands.

Although i want to eat certain things everyday like CHICKEN WINGS, my husband is getting tired of eating at the same places. So far i have mostly been craving chicken wings from this place called "The Shack", but i have also been wanting KFC alot because i love their mashed potato bowls! Chili cheese hotdogs are now on my priority list as well . I will keep everyone updated on my food frenzies .

The day the lines appeared

I was two days late for my period.. my Aunt Flo was always on time.. then came the pregnancy test. I got it from Longs Drugs store at a shopping center near my house, got home and ran inside the house because i had to pee so bad!!! I set the test on the ground, pulled up my pants, flushed the toilet and by the time i bent down to pick up the test it already had two PINK lines on it! I couldn't believe my eyes, because i didn't think it was going to be positive AT ALL. I couldn't open the bathroom door fast enough to go run into the living room and show it to Eric *my hubby* . I just kinda put it in front of his face and said "look" . He stared at it for about 3 seconds and then looked at me and said "Is it postive?!" I said yes and he immediately stood up, hugged me and said "I'm so excited!!, i can't believe it" . So we then performed the task of texting and calling everyone, and of course updating out facebooks lol. We got a lot of texts and calls back saying "OMG, i'm so happy for you, i'm so excited" I'm glad that all of our family and friends are just as happy as we are to be having our little Dennis who as of right now is only about the size of a pea. ( My little Pea Pod) . I had to wait untill Monday to call the doctor to make an appointment since i live in Hawaii and my husband is in the Army, none of the doctors for Ob/Gyn are there on the weekends. So, i called on Monday and they said the next appt is March 19th (2010) at 9:00 a.m but i'm just going to be giving them an information packet of my history etc., and that there won't be a sonogram taken or anything on that visit. WTF, i want a sonogram. So anyways, i think that i am 4 weeks 5 days pregnant right now that means i still have 2 ish weeks till my registration appointment and then i have to wait even longer for my sonogram. This isn't fair.

It's Positive!

Folks, we have implatation.
